The 3ds Max London User Group meets on the first Wednesday of every month at Truckles, opposite the British Museum. Started in 2007, the group enjoys a great number of professional members from London's advertising, architectural and animation industries. We meet to discuss ideas, methods and projects in a friendly, relaxed setting.

3ds London Wednesday 1st May

Wednesday 1st May
For 7pm
Upstairs at The Plough, 27 Museum Street, WC1A
Hello everyone,

Next Wednesday, long-time attendee Thomas Horsley from Flowstorm ltd will be here to present some of their recent animation projects. Thomas' presentation will focus on one project that used Chaos Group's Phoenix FD to create fluid simulations. He'll talk us through the project from storyboard, through previs to final production- with some useful tips when using this application and a sneak peak at some future work.

There was some very cool work presented last month, with hopefully some breakdowns to come at a later event, so more of the same please! If you have an entry for the March Forest Pack Pro competition the deadline was extended to next Wednesday too.

See you there, Simon

3ds London Wednesday 3rd April

Wednesday 3rd April
For 7pm
Upstairs at The Plough, 27 Museum Street, WC1A
Hello everyone,

Tomorrow evening is 3ds London at The Plough- This month I'm afraid our scheduled speaker had to pull out for an entirely understandable reason at the last minute- these things happen. So, as mentioned last month, I'd like some of you to bring along some work to share with everyone. If you haven't presented before, now's your chance to be a hero and bring something along. Don't worry about preparing anything, you just need to chat about it for a few minutes. Come on!

Talking of heroes, Sol Rogers from RewindFX has kindly agreed to get things started by bringing along a recent project to share. Sol is our Social Media Guru and all round talented / nice bloke. Cheers Sol! He can't change his mind now.

Did you prepare something for the Itoo competition last month? Bring it along!

Bring something along to show everyone! If you think you've got something interesting to share perhaps you could let me know so I can let everyone know, but feel free to just show up with something awesome. Remember, details posted at www.3dslondon.co.uk and on Twitter, follow @3dslondon.

See you there, Simon
